Early Voting Getting Underway in Iowa

Category: Local News

(Estherville)--Early, in-person voting at county auditors' offices starts this Wednesday in Iowa. Emmet County Auditor Heidi Goebel says early voting in Emmet County will take place at the West Administration building across the street from the courthouse in Estherville.

Goebel says curbside voting is also available.

She says you need to bring your ID with you to cast a ballot.

Goebel says auditor’s offices on Wednesday will also start mailing absentee ballots to voters who requested the mail-in option.

As of Monday, the Emmet County Auditor’s Office had received 203 absentee ballot requests. Goebel says during the last non-Presidential Election Year in 2022 her office received a total of 257 absentee ballot requests. She expects similar totals in 2026.
